چکیده
The aim of the study was to identify 1) main regularities surface runoff formation due downpours and 2) extent erosion process on arable chernozems in areas with dissected relief sharply continental climate. influence rainfall patterns soil physical factors studied three large geomorphological regions South-East West Siberia. Field observations were carried out during 1968–1979 Kuznetsk Depression 1984–1986 Near-Ob areas, from 1995 until present Near-Salair area. data meteorological stations analyzed for same years, including inter-year variability downpour recordings. Summer precipitation its intensity measured by using hydrograph unit. Water infiltration field method small flooded (Nesterov’s method), when square or round frames an area 2500 (external) 625 cm2 (internal) installed surface. To simplify automate water supply, PVN-00 device used, consisting two hermetically sealed tanks, cylindrical different diameters a tripod. processes studied. As regards climatic historical patterns, interannual Experimental infiltration, loss discussed soils units: Greyzemic Phaeozems (Siltic), Luvic Chernozems (Siltic) Haplic variable content organic matter levels. characterized prevalence warm growing season sporadic cyclical patterns. Heavy rains found cause significant damage agricultural land only locally, early spring, is not protected vegetation. greatest hazard represented meltwater, total amount, but also snow thawing rate. decrease rates extensive farming factor degradation most fertile Soil vulnerability shown range: > (no storm damage).

Post-fire runoff and erosion from rainfall simulation: contrasting forests with shrublands and grasslands
Rainfall simulations allow for controlled comparisons of runoff and erosion among ecosystems and land cover conditions. Runoff and erosion can increase greatly following fire, yet there are few rainfall simulation studies for post-fire plots, particularly after severe fire in semiarid forest. We conducted rainfall simulations shortly after a severe fire (Cerro Grande) in ponderosa pine forest n...

Flood hydrograph simulation is affected by uncertainty in Rainfall – Runoff )RR( parameters. Uncertainty of RR parameters in Gharasoo catchment, part of the great Karkheh river basin, is evaluated by Monte–Carlo (MC) approach. A conceptual-distributed model, called ModClark, was used for basin simulation, in which the basin’s hydrograph was determined using the superposition of runoff generated...

متن کاملRunoff and Soil Erosion Assessment on Forest Roads Using a Small Scale Rainfall Simulator
Forestry operations can significantly alter hydrological and erosional processes in a catchment. In the course of developing timberland, a network of persistent roads and skid trails causing soil compaction is usually established. Hereby, the infiltration rate of the soil is distinctly reduced, which leads to the generation of overland flow—this may also cause soil erosion. In this study, a sma...
متن کاملLaboratory Experiments: Influence of Rainfall Characteristics on Runoff and Water Erosion
The study concerns an experimental investigation in the laboratory of the water erosion using a rainfall simulator. We have focused our attention on the influence of rainfall intensity on some hydraulic characteristics. The results obtained allow us to conclude that there is a significant correlation between rainfall intensity and hydraulic characteristics of runoff (Reynolds number, Froude num...
